God is closer to us than we are to ourselves, and God sees our lives lived out through our eyes - not from a distance. He experiences what we experience, and knows better and understands better our reasons, and excuses for doing the things we do the way we do them, and why we get into the mess that we get into. God knows our broken hearts, and hearts that have broken others' hearts - and why. It is our parish's Lenten theme to return to God for "repair" of not only our broken hearts but of our disordered hearts that have caused pain and others' hearts to be broken. This Boundless Compassion Retreat is that journey to remove the lid that has covered our spiritual deep well of compassion God has so boundlessly gifted each of us.
