A whole family journey for those with teens,

FAITH FORMATION'S THREE-PART MODEL
Faith Formation at Holy Name of Mary parish fosters a life-long journey of discipleship for the whole family. Our primary mission is encounters with Christ, and our offerings encourage prayer, Bible reflections, rituals, service and faith conversations to take place in the family, both at church events and in the home. We view our role as supporting the crucial role of parents in the faith growth of their children. Our 2022-23 program includes the following three components:
Teen sessions are typically held every other week of each month. Teens attend the session day & time they choose from the following three options during registration.
For Year 1 & 2 Confirmation Preparation
TBA
This includes the cost of registration, materials, AND retreat. Subject to change 2022-2023.
Year 1 - $350 per teenager ($100 Registration + $250 Retreat)
Year 2 - $370 per teenager ($120 Registration + $250 Retreat)
All teens in Confirmation are required to attend at least one retreat in their 2 year journey. Each year we hear from our teens that retreat was a pivotal moment in their faith life that changed everything. Our weekend retreats provide a dynamic and faith filled experience that allows teens an opportunity to grow and deepen their relationship with God. The retreat is a 3 day event filled with fun activities, powerful talks and testimonies, small groups, and the celebration of Mass and Adoration with Reconciliation offered. Anyone who may experience Covid-19 symptoms will not be able to attend and if on retreat, will be isolated until they're able to go home. Please see the additional form provided upon registering for Confirmation. For any questions, comments, and/or concerns, contact Jamie Alarcon: [email protected] (909) 599-1243 ext. 220.
RETREAT DATES THIS YEAR!
We need you to volunteer to share your faith! What does it mean to be a catechist or helper? Catechists and helpers are disciples of Jesus who are living out the call to share the Good News with young people. The primary qualifications are a love of the Lord and a desire to nurture the faith of children. Materials and trainings are provided.
To pray and discuss if this ministry is right for you, please call Jamie Alarcon.
We follow the Archdiocesan guideline that every child/teen participates in two years of a faith formation program prior to the celebration of sacraments.
To register, parents need to submit a Baptismal Certificate and First Holy Communion Certificate OR a Birth Certificate for unbaptized youth preparing for full initiation (Baptism, Communion, Confirmation).
