· Think about an experience of being welcomed. How did this make you feel? Why is welcoming and accepting an important part of being a parent?
· Like the ritual of washing feet, what rituals do you have in your family that unite you and instill the values that your family holds dear?
· For the season of Lent and beyond, what bad habit do you feel called to give up? What good habit do you feel called to nurture?
As we wrap up this season of Lent when we turn away from sin and enter into the season of Easter when we rejoice in the Risen Lord, ask God to lead you every day away from sin and back to Him. First thing every morning, ask God to help you be a better mom or dad. You have a mission from God to be the kind of parent you child needs.
Dear Lord, help me a treat each day with my children as a gift. Please guide me to help them know You better through your Word and through the seasons of the church year. May they see a model of Christian living in me that strengthens their relationship with You.
